Erik-Jan van der Linden (MA, PhD)
CEO of MagnaView, obtained a PhD from Tilburg University in 1993. From 1985 until 1996, van der Linden was active in research and development, amongst other at the Max Planck Instituut Nijmegen and at the Universities of Nijmegen, Tilburg and Amsterdam. At Amsterdam University, he was responsible for various international cooperation projects, partly funded by the European Union, amongst others with Stanford University and Moscow University.
From 1996 until 2003 van der Linden acted as a self-employed IT-consultant, working for publishers, legal professional and educational organizations, often in cooperation with leading IT-organizations such as Ernst & Young, Atos Origin, and Cap Gemini.
In 2003, van der Linden started MagnaView, where he is responsible for strategy, marketing and sales.


Jack (Jarke J.) van Wijk (MSc, PhD)
VP Scientific Affairs, is full professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (www.win.tue.nl), where he leads the Visualization group (www.win.tue.nl/vis).
His research interests are information visualization and scientific visualization, with an emphasis on large data sets, novel visual metaphors, and explorative analysis. Van Wijk's group is at the forefront of information visualization research. SequoiaView, developed by Van Wijk's group, is one of the success stories in the field. Van Wijk has (co-)authored more than 60 papers on visualization, published and/or presented at venues such as IEEE Visualization (16), IEEE Information Visualization (10), IEEE TVCG (6) and ACM SIGGRAPH (2). He was paper co-chair for IEEE Visualization in 2003 and 2004, and paper co-chair for IEEE InfoVis in 2006.

Publications from his group have been rewarded with the IEEE InfoVis best paper award in 2003 and 2006, and the IEEE Visualization best paper award in 2005 for The Value of Visualization.


Roel Vliegen (MSc)
VP Research and Development, graduated from the Eindhoven University of Technology in Computer Science in 2006. At MagnaView, Roel is responsible for Development of the MagnaView Products, and their application in various projects MagnaView is involved in.

Besides being a gifted computer scientist, Roel Vliegen is also a computer graphics artist.
